I’ve always been someone who sees possibilities in ordinary things. An interesting thought, a character, a place I visit, or something I notice in everyday life can send me wondering what it might become.

I’m a creator, illustrator, storyteller, and lifelong idea explorer. Over the years, my curiosity has led me to create stories and characters, design products, build brands and businesses, make things by hand, and dream up experiences that bring an idea into the real world. Some ideas become books. Some become businesses. Some grow into entire worlds. And sometimes I have no idea where they’re going until I start creating.

Grace & Waffles is one of those worlds. What began with a story grew into books, characters, products, a mail club, events, and experiences, and it helped me recognize something I’ve actually been doing my entire life: seeing an idea and wondering how far it could go.

When I’m not creating, I’m usually noticing, traveling with Nyx, spending time with my family, wandering somewhere new, finding beauty in small things, or following whatever has made me curious that day.
